16 Feb

Having 4b/4c hair can be very frustrating sometimes especially when your newly natural and you have no idea to do with your tight curls. Here is a list of Vloggers that I love and go to for inspiration ALL the time.

*Also keep in mind that someone doesn’t have to have your same hair type for you to know how to handle and moisturize your hair, everyones different*

VLOGGERS!

– glamfun

I love her so much she is so funny and is nothing but honest!

– 4cHairChick

She has lots of experience and is very helpful with tips and styling products recommendations.

-Dawnyele

She was the reason why I didn’t stop my natural hair journey, she was always committed to putting up videos on videos on Youtube and she always share her trials and Eros and her success. Although she is no longer with us, she is a┬ádefinitely┬ánatural hair inspiration of my for not only 4c hair but natural hair.

-Joulezy

OMG! Joulezy is who I got to when I think that 4c hair cant be defined! She has so many cool tips on bringing out your natural hair pattern or even making different curl patters with rollers, perm rods and curl formers!

-IKnowLee

The first person I saw on youtube and the first person I went to when I just big chopped. She is so knowledgeable and is very helpful with tips on styling and creating looks that people think that type 4 hair can never do. Although I’m nt sure what she places herself on a hair typing chart she looks like a 4b/ 4c to me.

These are My top 5 natural vloggers but trust me there’s a lot of other Vloggers I love and have learned a ton about with type 3 curls !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE TWO STRAND TWISTS!!!!! pt. 2

12 Feb

Like I said in my previous post I love, LOVE, LOVE two strand twists! Two strand twists are stylish and fun to mess around with especially because this is one of the times you can mess around with your hair and not over manipulate it. The possibilities are endless with the styles you can do with your twists. For example if you want to do a stylish up-do for your prom, wedding or a very important even you can pin up your twists and add hair accessories. Last but not least when I do two strand twists I keep them in for at least a week which is very helpful because I don’t have to wake up early in the morning just to do my hair. The reason I listed are reason why I believe I’m in LOVE with two strand twist.

Tell me what you think about two strand twists and I will be making a post soon on how I maintain my twists!

Apple Cider Vinegar

8 Feb

Apple cider vinegar A.K.A ACV should be in every naturals cabinet ┬áheres a list on why and by the end of reading my reasons if you don’t agree with me or not convinced you can email me so we can talk about it.

– Dandruff and itchiness can be cured by using ACV

– ACV is a great at cleansing the scalp, gets rid of build up instantly

-Have head lice? Use ACV to cure it

-If your hair is damaged and the cuticles are upraised, an acid rinse could be help them to lay flatter and therefore improving shine and detangle-ability

-After using ACV your hair is easier to detangle

– Hair is silky and soft and retains a lot on volume

So Tell me why you shouldn’t give this a try on your upcoming wash day… it wont hurt????

Deep conditioning???

5 Feb

OK, since honesty is the best policy I’m going to start off by saying I don’t deep condition as often as I should čśŽ i know its terrible but i often do think about it but when i do DC my hair comes out incredibly soft and moisturized it makes me think about why I don’t do it. This is why I’m writing this post to tell you guys how i get really soft protein filled hair!(hopefully I can start taking my own DC’ing advice)

Ingredients:

4 tbs of EVOO

2 tbs of pure honey

1 tbs of coconut oil(can change amount depends on you)

Instructions:

place the coconut oil, honey and EVOO in a small cup and place the cup in a large bowl of hot water. Allow the cup to sit in the water for a few minutes. Until the mixture is warm. Pour the mix onto freshly washed hair but towel blotted hair. THen put on a shower cap and wrap with a towel to prevent the mix from dripping. Let the mix sit in your hair for 20 min + then wash hair thoroughly with cold water( IMPORTANT!!!!!)

3 Ways for you to get your TWA to look more feminine

5 Feb

When you first big chop and you have a TWA its so fun. It brings out features that you may not have noticed on your face or it can just force you to boost your confidence. TWA’s makes you feel different almost “risky” making you try new stuff that you may thought you couldn’t do like a change in your fashion. Even though all of these are great points having a TWA is not always like this… sometimes having a TWA can be extremely stressful maybe because you don’t know how to style your new fro or keep it moisturized but a big problem for other naturals(used to be me and still is) is that we think that we look manly. Sometimes its not easy to make your TWA feminine because males usually have TWA’s or shorter do’s. These 3 tips I’m about to give you are ways to spice up your TWA and make it more feminine.

1. Earrings are your best friends! Earrings bring out your face and make your hair the last thing people look at. Earrings is a great way to distract people when you’ve cut your hair really low… earrings almost bring automatic positive attention to your new TWA. The best earrings to purchase are big ones! I’m talking huge(as long as your comfortable) they makes your head look small and not so out of place.

2. Hair accessories is just as important as your beloved earrings.  Hair accessories can bring out your girl side and its incredibly fun to choose hair accessories because there are so many too choose from. Not only do hair accessories make your TWA stick out and look more feminine they can be used to cover up bad twist outs, bad hair days, and trial and errors.

3. Henna! henna! henna! henna can also be one of your favorites and not only does it spice up your TWA color without damaging it you can be a permanent ingredient in your regimen. Henna can make your black TWA to a very soft, moisturized auburn cloned hair. The best thing about henna is its natural no harm will be done to your beautiful kinks, curls and coils.

If you have any more tips please share i would love to hear them čÖé
